FAQs

How do I access the app?
Search for "ASDSO Conferences" in your app store. When prompted, enter the event code from your registration confirmation, which is ASDSO24. After, you will enter your contact details and receive a unique access key password to your email that will complete your account creation process.

How do I view PowerPoint slides and papers?

MyConference Website: Select the title of a presentation - if the presenter submitted a final paper, you will see a "Handouts" icon. If the presenter submitted a PowerPoint, you will see a "PDF" button. Please note – if a presenter did not submit a final paper and/or PowerPoint by the deadline, these will not be visible. 

MyConference App: Select the title of a presentation - if the presenter submitted a final paper, you will see a "Handouts" icon. If they submitted a PowerPoint, you will see a "Slides" play button in the bottom toolbar.

How can I access a copy of all available conference papers in one document?
You will be able to download a PDF of the full proceedings in your ASDSO Collaborate community for Dam Safety 2024 beginning 9/22. To log in and view this page in ASDSO Collaborate, visit https://collaborate.damsafety.org/home.

What is the Wi-Fi information?
The conference Wi-Fi information is:

How do I find the PDH certificate?
You will be able to download the PDH certificate in your ASDSO Collaborate community for Dam Safety 2024 beginning 9/25. 

How do I find my committee meeting?
From the home page of your app, you will find a Meetings square with all conference meetings.

Where do I pay my outstanding balance? Can I renew my membership?
If you would like to make a payment, please visit the registration desk located in the E Concourse.

Do you have a job board where we can post openings?
You can submit a job listing on ASDSO Collaborate, which is open to all members.

What do the conference fees include?
All full conference registrations (member, non-member, student, and honorary) include admission to all technical sessions, the exhibit show, and all catered events including the conference kickoff event; a digital copy of the conference proceedings; and access to Dam Safety 2024 On-Demand. Guest and Exhibit Booth Staff registrations include admission to the exhibit show and all catered events including the conference kickoff event. The Guest registration option is for use by a registered attendee’s spouse/partner or family member and is not intended for use by a co-worker or another industry professional. One-day registrations include admission to technical sessions, catered events occurring on that day, and the exhibit show. 

What forms of payment are accepted?
ASDSO accepts checks, credit cards, and government agency purchase orders. A copy of the purchase order with billing instructions must accompany the registration form if payment is to be processed by a government purchase order.

What are the conference cancellation and refund policies?
Please notify ASDSO as soon as possible if you must cancel your registration. Fees that have already been paid may either be refunded or transferred to another attendee. To receive a refund, a notice of cancellation must be submitted to ASDSO by the end of business on September 6, 2024. All refunds are subject to a $100 processing fee, including workshops. After September 6, 2024 registration fees are not refundable.

Which meals are included with my registration?
Full conference, Guest, Exhibit Booth Staff, Honorary and Student registrations include admission to continental breakfasts on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, September 25. Beverage breaks are provided on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Receptions with light hors d'oeuvres are provided on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Lunch is provided on Monday and Wednesday. One-day registrations include admission to the catered events for that day. 

What if I have a special need (ADA, dietary, or other)?
Please contact email info@damsafety.org to discuss arrangements. You will need to a server know if you submitted a special dietary need during the Awards Luncheon on Monday. You may also let a member of the wait staff know for your Wednesday lunch.

What are the hours for onsite registration?
Registration is open:
Sunday from 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Monday from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Tuesday from 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Wednesday from 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

What does a guest or booth staff registration include? Can they attend sessions?
Guest and Exhibit Booth Staff registrations include admission to the exhibit show and all catered events including the conference kickoff event. The Guest registration option is for use by a registered attendee’s spouse/partner or family member and is not intended for use by a co-worker or another industry professional. Exhibit Booth Staff and Guest registrations do not include access to the technical sessions or Dam Safety 2024 On-Demand.

Dining Questions

Where is breakfast located?
Continental breakfast will be available Monday from 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM, Tuesday from 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM, and Wednesday from 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM in the Ballroom Pre-function area on Level 4.

Is lunch provided?
Lunch is provided on Monday (Awards Luncheon) and Wednesday.

Can I attend the Awards Luncheon?
All conference registrations, including Guest registrations, include admission to the awards luncheon.

 

General Questions

What is the conference venue?
All on-site conference activities will be held at the Colorado Convention Center unless otherwise noted. The conference kickoff event will be held at Lucky Strike Lanes. While all Conference field trips are held off-site, all registrants must meet to check in at the Colorado Convention Center. Separate registration is required for conference field trips.

What is the best way to get to downtown Denver from the airport?
Attendees can get a taxi, Uber, or Lyft from the airport to downtown Denver.

Is there a lost and found?
If you have lost or found an item, please visit the registration desk in the E Concourse in the Colorado Convention Center.

How much is parking in Denver?
Parking rates throughout Denver vary. Please check with your hotel or the convention center for details on parking costs.

How do I volunteer for a committee?
A list of current openings can be found in ASDSO Collaborate under the Volunteer option. Please note - you must be logged in with an active membership to see listings: https://collaborate.damsafety.org/volunteeropportunities/opportunities-list-public   

Are the sessions recorded?

Yes, all sessions are recorded and will be available for viewing as part of Dam Safety On-Demand starting in October. This will be available for 6 months. Dam Safety On-Demand is included if you have registered for the full conference. 

What if I don't want to receive communications from exhibitors and sponsors?
Like most conferences, ASDSO does allow exhibitors and sponsors to showcase their conference participation to attendees. If you do not want to have your contact information shared with conference exhibitors and sponsors please visit the ASDSO Portal and opt-out of ASDSO Partner Announcements. This will opt you out of all future partner announcements for all conferences. To access the Opt-out area, go to your Portal, Click on "My Profile," then "Personal Info" where you can opt-out. Exhibitors and sponsors are provided your contact information to use on a one-time basis to highlight their conference participation both two weeks before and immediately after the conference. If you feel an exhibitor or sponsor is not using this benefit properly, please contact ASDSO. 

How do I find an attendee list?
You will be able to view a list of attendees in your ASDSO Collaborate community for Dam Safety 2024 beginning 9/22. To log into ASDSO Collaborate, visit: https://collaborate.damsafety.org/.


Speaker & Moderator Questions 

I am a moderator – where do I pick up my packet?
Moderators may pick up their moderator packets, including time cards, and moderator gift bags, at the registration desk. Please return your evaluation to the registration desk when finished.

Where do I set up my poster?
You will choose a tackboard and set up your poster in the back of the exhibit hall. Posters can be set up on Monday, September 23 from 8 AM - 1 PM MT.

Do I leave my poster?
You can leave or take your poster when finished. Any items left in the exhibit hall after 5 PM MT on September 25, 2024, will not be returned to the presenter.

 

Exhibitor Questions

Where do I submit my giveaway?

When can I start setting up my exhibit?
Exhibit hall set-up is from 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Monday, Sept 23.

 

Dam Safety On-Demand

What does On-Demand mean?
Dam Safety On-Demand will provide a central website for all content delivered in Denver at Dam Safety 2024 (General Sessions, Concurrent Sessions, and Poster-Lightning Talks). Those with access to the On-Demand site will have access to all content 24/7 starting in mid-October and running for six months. 

How long will I be able to access Dam Safety On-Demand content?
Dam Safety On-Demand content will open in mid-October and be available for six months.  

Can I share Dam Safety On-Demand with others?
No, Dam Safety On-Demand is only available for the registered individual. Each Dam Safety 2024 Full conference registrant will have a unique login and only one session may be active at a time. 

Will I receive PDH credit for Dam Safety On-Demand content?
In most cases, yes. New York credit is not available for Dam Safety 2024 content. Only the individual whose name is on the registration form is eligible for PDH credit. 

What is the deadline to sign up for Dam Safety On-Demand?
Dam Safety 2024 On-Demand is provided at no additional cost to Dam Safety 2024 Full conference attendees and you do not have to do anything to get access. If you are NOT a Dam Safety 2024 attendee, you can register for Dam Safety On-Demand at any time by contacting ASDSO; however, the content will not be available until mid-October 2024 and will not be available after April 30, 2025. The sooner you register, the more time you will have to enjoy the content.
