Launched in 2016, the National Center for Computational Hydroscience and Engineering (NCCHE) at the University of Mississippi has been developing and operating the Decision Support System for Water Infrastructural Security (DSS-WISE) Web. Through this free web-based tool, more than 2,000 dam safety professionals have submitted over 76,000 dam-break flood inundation modeling scenarios from across the United States and Puerto Rico. Researchers at NCCHE have produced numerous developments and improvements to the system to increase the capability, ease of use, and speed for its users. In November of 2021, the DSS-WISE Web development team celebrated the release of Version 3.0, which brought a complete overhaul of the simulation setup and data entry Viewer portal among its new features. To help new and existing users understand these new capabilities and receive the maximum benefits from the system, a half-day short course will be presented as a conference specialty workshop.
