D. Wade Anderson is a registered professional engineer with 35 years of engineering and leadership experience in design, construction, operation and rehabilitation of dams and hydraulic structures and currently serves as a senior dam and levee engineer and technical advisor for Freese and Nichols. Wade retired in May 2024 from the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) as the Chief Engineer and Dam Safety Officer for the Southwestern Division, California Mega Projects Office. Throughout his federal service he served as the Lead Dam Safety Program Manager for Headquarters, USACE; the Chief, Engineering and Construction and Dam/Levee Safety Officer for Tulsa District; Dam Safety Officer for Mosul Dam Rehabilitation in Iraq, Founding Director of the Southwestern Division Dam Safety Production Center; Dam Safety Program Manager for Tulsa District, and Senior Design Engineer for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS). Wade holds both a bachelor and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Oklahoma State University and is a member of ASDSO, SAME, and USSD.
