Hazen and Sawyer
Kate Naughton received an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Delaware in 2014 and has over 10 years of dam safety experience. Her specialties include dam inspection, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals and Emergency Action Plan (EAP) development, O&M and EAP training and exercise facilitation, and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis. In addition to holding her Professional Engineering (PE) license in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Georgia, she is a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) and is active in multiple associations. Along with her membership and participation in the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) Technical Training Committee and Young Professionals Interest Group, she is a member of the United States Society on Dams (USSD) and the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM). Kate was a recipient of ASDSO’s Young Professional Engineer of the Year Award in 2022.
