Eric Snavely is a Water Resource Engineer in Schnabel Engineer’s dams group, located in Greensboro, NC. He is an experienced modeler, completing hydraulic modeling using 1D, 2D, and 3D computational fluid dynamics modeling for complex hydraulic structures. His experience spans the hydraulic design of dams, spillways, and energy dissipating structures, including flood inundation modeling and hydrologic modeling. Additionally, Eric has broad experience in both dam and levee safety risk that includes estimating flood loadings, developing consequence estimates, and performing risk assessments. Eric is a registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina, and Colorado. He holds a 2012 B.S. in Environmental Science from SUNY Plattsburgh, a 2017 B.S. in Civil Engineering from NC A&T University, and he is a 2023 NC State graduate with a Masters in Civil Engineering.
