Mikaela Bitner is a hydrologic engineer with over eight years of experience in dam and levee safety and risk management at the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Risk Management Center. Specializing in flood hazard analyses, she has led numerous critical assessments and technical support activities, significantly enhancing the understanding of dam safety within the USACE portfolio. Her expertise extends to developing and executing innovative flood hazard analyses, leveraging advanced modeling techniques to assess probable maximum flood scenarios, and inform risk-informed decision-making processes. Ms. Bitner holds a Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rice University and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.
