Melissa Setz, P.E.

Ms. Setz is a Senior Engineer at Geosyntec, a Professional Engineer (licensed in Georgia), and holds the Georgia EPD Safe Dams Program Engineer of Record certification. She has more than ten years of experience in dam engineering, geotechnical design, construction, and management of dam safety and dam engineering projects. She has made significant contributions to dam projects involving the development and permitting of field investigations; the formulation of laboratory testing programs; the oversite and management of soil, concrete, and rock drilling/coring activities; instrumentation installation and monitoring; and technical analyses of embankment and concrete dam structures. Ms. Setz has served in multiple roles during the remediation of multiple high-hazard dam projects, including geotechnical engineering quality control practices and implementation and compliance.
