Bryan J. Heiner
Bryan is a Hydraulic Research Engineer with over 15 years of experience in field investigations, physical and numerical modeling and hydraulic structures. The first 15 years of his career focused on some of the largest dams and spillways in the United States while working at the Bureau of Reclamation Hydraulics Laboratory in Denver, Colorado. Bryan recently joined UDSA-ARS with the Agroclimate and Hydraulic Engineering Research Unit in Stillwater OK. He has worked extensively on physical and numerical modeling of various hydraulic infrastructure, spillway design and analysis, hydraulic equipment testing, fish passage and protection and various open and closed conduit flow measurement. Bryan received a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Utah State University where is also worked in a hydraulics laboratory specializing in modeling and custom flow calibrations. He has extensive field and lab experience on a wide variety of projects.
