Biography – Barbara Hall
Barbara Hall is a civil engineer in TVA’s Dam Safety Structures Group and has over 25 years of Dam Safety experience. She began her career in Dam Safety working on small structural projects and inspections, and then moved into a group focused on evaluating the dam based on instrumentation monitoring data. Her current duties include evaluation of existing instrumentation data, updating instrumentation needs including new installations or retirement of instruments, structural engineering design, and SME support in SQRAs and QRAs. She serves as the TVA technical lead for the Interim Risk Reduction Measure projects supporting the Chatuge Spillway QRA. These IRRMs include rehabilitation of the expansion/contraction joints at TVA’s Chatuge and Nottely Spillways, testing of joint seal options for these interim repairs, and continued monitoring through inspections and data evaluation of piezometers installed under the spillway slabs. Barbara has a BS in Engineering and a MS in Engineering Management.
